The Spanish low-cost airline Volotea intends to add two routes to Algeria from Italy. The necessary permits have already been granted since the authority.
From Naples and Venice (Marco Polo), the low-cost company wants to fly to Algiers twice a week. From these two airports, these are the first connections between the two countries, as there are currently no non-stop flights to Algerian. The first flights are scheduled to take place on November 28 and 29, 2022, according to Volotea.
The permits issued to the low-cost airlines that are issued are a little special in that the aviation agreement between Italy and Algeria has so far only authorized Ita Airways and Air Algérie to fly non-stop between the two countries.
