On Monday, October 9, 2023, Vienna Airport invites the entire air cargo community to the first Vienna Cargo Day. News and trends on the topics of sustainability, hydrogen and digitalization will be presented and discussed together with all important players in the industry. In addition, news about the new Air Cargo Academy in Vienna AirportCity will be announced.

The event in the AirportCity Space at Vienna Airport takes place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. FlyPharma Europe 2023, sponsored by Vienna AirportCity, will also take place at Vienna Airport on October 10th and 11th, 2023, which will, among other things, offer the opportunity to visit Vienna Airport’s state-of-the-art pharmaceutical handling facilities.

At the Vienna Cargo Day, Michael Zach, Vice President Sales, Finance & Cargo, Ground Handling & Cargo Operations at Vienna Airport, Wolfgang, among others, will provide information about current and future developments in freight handling, the cargo community and the Airport City with regard to sustainability and digitalization Scheibenpflug, Senior Vice President Real Estate & Landside Management at Vienna Airport and Peter Reulbach, Senior Manager Cargo Business Development and Cargo Community Manager at Vienna Airport. In the lecture by Univ. Prof. Dr. Sebastian Kummer, head of the Institute for Transport Economics and Logistics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, will focus on the possibilities surrounding hydrogen as an energy source and an emission-free supply chain. The cargo community includes airlines, freight forwarders, handling and customs agents as well as transport companies from all over Austria and air freight specialists from neighboring Eastern European countries and Central Europe.
