Ethiopian Airlines Group and IATA signed an agreement last week on IATA’s CEIV live animal certification program.
The CEIV Live Animal Project Initiation will be a first step enabling Ethiopia to work hand-in-hand with IATA on CEIV certification, which in turn will allow customers to see the global standards and requirements that Ethiopia has in transporting the met her familiar precious animals. As a result: Ethiopia will transport live animals with the world’s best quality services and standards. Recent certification from IATA’s Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) inspires confidence for shippers of live animals. The high standards of the CEIV certification lead to a high level of customer satisfaction.
Mesfin Tasew, Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Airlines Group, underlined the importance of signing the CEIV: “The agreement we are signing with IATA for the CEIV live animal certification program, our commitment to demonstrate quality services.” We are sure that IATA’s CEIV certification, a milestone in live animal transport, will help us improve operational standards, quality management system, facilities and infrastructure requirements.
