The Imperial Riding School Hotel on Ungargasse in Wiener Landstraße opened its doors to guests on the first Friday of the rest period and the 18th month of renovation. The first hotel of the international Autograph Collection Hotels brand in Austria, the renovated hotel combines tradition and zeitgeist.
With 342 guest rooms, a 450 m² wellness area with an indoor pool and a restaurant with an outdoor area in the large inner-city private garden, Vienna offers a variety of amenities. In addition, 13 event rooms are available for conferences, meetings and private events.
The Imperial Riding School, once the Garden Palace Harrach from 1727, has a rich history. General Manager Jürgen Fleischhacker emphasizes that the new hotel concept reflects the building’s diverse identity. With an investment volume of 45 million euros, the hotel is now one of the high-quality Autograph Collection hotels.
The hotel, embedded in the surrounding artists’ quarter, presents itself as a mixture of former label and rebellious charm. The location between Ungargasse, Linke Bahngasse and Rennweg makes it attractive for both tourists and business travelers.
The centerpiece of the culinary offering will be the outdoor restaurant “Elstar – The Garden”, which is reminiscent of the historic orchard. A style bar called “The Farrier” and a take-away called “Cameo” also complement the gastronomic offering. The hotel attaches great importance to sustainability and invests in a photovoltaic system on the roof, energy-efficient building technology and certified furniture.
